The program covers the following safety promotion activities:

the working methods are to try to involve as many people as possible in the prevention
work by
- Finding engaged persons in different organizations, such as community, medical care,
local organization etc
- Supporting those persons with knowledge in injury prevention
- Involving the prevention methods in the ordinary work at all levels to obtain a long
lasting result
- Creating different work- committees that carry out the concrete work through mainly
information, education, change of unsuitable environmental surroundings

result to the organization working with occupational safety.

Specific intersectoral leadership group:
An executive group (Municipal commissioner, Chiefs of the Social Services, the Leisure
and Recreation, the School, the Environmental Health Protection Department in the
Municipality of Falun and the chairman, the Director and the Health planner from the Falun
Health and Medical Care District) is leading the work
General public health/health promotion group:
Five committees are meeting regularly to decide on and they are in charge of planning
and executing the actual field work
The five committees are responsible for the fields:
Home accident involving children and youths, Home accident involving elderly, Traffic
accident, Accident at school, Accident in sports.
