History of ESCON

During the first meeting in Falköping, Sweden 1997, a Steering
Committee for the further development was established. A report from
the meeting is available (KI Red Report 368). Dr Katarina Purtcher,
Austria was appointed Chair of that Committee. She resigned 2003.

In 2003 Mr Yousif Rahim, Norway accepted the chairmanship of
this "interim" steering Committee and resigned during 2009. Thereafter
the need was felt to formalize the network led to proposal of Bylaws-
to a large extent developed by Dr Mauri Johansson, Denmark. These are
to be presented and adopted in the 2nd official ESCON meeting in
Reykjavik, May 2010. Officers are to be elevted as well;see on top of
this webpage.
