The PIPP group is committed to an all injury, all age group, all settings approach to
community injury prevention.

Surveillance of injuries:Annual review of Hospital Separation and
Accident and Emergency data for Parkes District Hospital and control centre .Sports survey
completed 1993 and 1996 and Telephone survey 1990 and 1995.

per year and 1500 Accident and Emergency presentations per year

Organization: PIPP is a community group made up of representatives of
groups such as local council , road safety organization , health services personnel ,
neighborhood center staff , local training group staff , family support staff , home
services staff and police
Specific intersectoral leadership group: PIPP committee meets every month
to provide direction and support for project officer
