Surveillance of injuries:
An accompanying evaluation study is carried out by Institute
"Sicher Leben", with a semi-experimental design
(pre- and post-intervention record, test- and control-area).
Most important data are registered by an household survey
covering safety knowledge, safety attitudes, reported safety
behavior, injury frequency. Additionally, usual health statistics
(hospital admissions, sick leaves, fatalities) and reports
from A+E departments are evaluated. Reference year is 2003,
post-intervention registration will be in 2007.Numbers
per year: 10.000 contacts in test-region
