Affiliate Safe Community Support Centres
The Role of Affiliate Safe Communities Support Centres

Organisations/universities can be appointed as an Affiliate
Safe Community Support Centre by supporting the WHO CC in
the development of the Safe Community Program and providing
advice and assistance in the field of injury prevention and
safety promotion to the communities in their country and internationally.
Those organisations/universities who want to apply appointment,
as an Affiliate Safe Community Support Centre including designation
should follow the following procedure:
1) An application describing the activities under each of
the ten
Indicators for an Affiliate Centre must be submitted as
a Pdf-file; under the following title:
Application for Designation as an Affiliate Safe Community
Support Centre".
2) Text for web page www.phs.ki.se/csp/ of the WHO Collaborating
Centre on Community Safety Promotion (a short version of the
activities including photos). See
attached pdf file. Can be sent to you on request as a
word file.
3) The applying organisations/university covers all costs
related to the Site Visit, designation plus the
Application Administration fee of 900 EUR. (The fee will be
billed before the designation.)
4) Safe Community flags can be ordered by the WHO CC at K.I. :Moa.sundstrom@ki.se
Big Safe Community flag: size 240 x 150 cm: Prize: 35 EUR
Table flag (for a 50 cm pole) 24 x 15 cm: Prize: 12 EUR
5) An Agreement is signed between the organisations/university
and the Karolinska Institutet, WHO Collaborating Centre on
Community Safety Promotion.
Send the names, including titles for signing. Agreement
attached.
The Safe Community logo will be sent as a file and can be used after the designation.
